In the Summer of 2012, two young entrepreneurs, Ben and Michael, sat in a coffee shop in Staffordshire University. Sitting opposite them were two well-dressed professionals talking about how young people didn't have the skills needed for the world of work, which gave Ben and Michael the idea for The National Enterprise Challenge - a work-skills experience that brought employers and students together to help students learn about work-skills, and understand how they can develop them further. A year later it was ready to launch as The Inspirational Learning Group's first and premier skills programme.

The years that followed provided TILG with an opportunity to develop a whole range of additional challenges and programmes to help young people make informed decisions about their futures, and to provide them with the skills required for career success.

TILG is committed to playing its part in providing meaningful engagement with employers and continues to expand its range of challenges and educational programmes in response to the changing needs of employers, schools and young people.

The Team have now worked with over 500,000 students across the country and in 2019 the National Finals were held at the iconic Wembley Stadium. But our ambitions didn't stop there.
